Northland Ear, Nose,& Throat, P.C.: Explanation of Trial Period

Explanation of Trial Period
A 30-day trial period is provided to assess the success of your hearing aid(s). Before the hearing aid(s) can be ordered, fifty percent of the total purchase price must be paid. At the time of the fitting, you are responsible for paying the remaining balance. We encourage you to return twice during your trial period to educate the audiologist on how your hearing aid is functioning. If at the end of the trial period your satisfaction is not complete, then the audiologist can help you re-evaluate your options, or you can return the hearing aid(s). If you choose not to purchase the hearing aid(s), then you will be refunded the cost of the aid(s) less a handling fee for one hearing aid or an additional fee for two hearing aids if it/they is/are returned in their original condition.

Warranty

The price of your hearing aid includes the warranty listed. Additionally, it covers the office visits you will have concerning the hearing aid(s). However, the price does not include charges for medical appointments with one of our physicians, hearing tests, or hearing aid supplies such as earmolds, batteries, dry-aid kits, etc.

Repairs

If your hearing aid is in need of repair and it is out of warranty, then contact the audiologist to see if the problem can be corrected in the office. If the aid needs to be sent back to the manufacturer, then there will be a charge for the repair and a new 6 or 12 month warranty will be included.

Batteries

One package of batteries will be provided at no charge during the thirty-day trial period. Additional batteries may be purchased at $5.00 per six-battery package.

Appointments

All visits should be made by appointment. You are encouraged to have two appointments during your trial period so your audiologist can maximize your success with your hearing aids. Following the trial period, appointments can be made at any time without charge if it is regarding your hearing aid(s) only. There will be a charge if a new hearing test is administered or if supplies need to be purchased.
